From the 7th to the 9th June, during the Milano Photo Week, in one of the tollgates in Piazza Sempione (Arco della Pace) the exhibition «L’Io Di_Viso Metamorfosi del Contemporaneo» was held. The show, L’esposizione, supporting Vidas’ project ” Casa Sollievo Bimbi”, proposes 30 evocative portraits inspired by the homonymous work by Ronald Laing, a psychiatrist who dedicated an extended and fascinating reflection to schizophrenia and duality.
The author of this image path is Stefano Babic, already a portraitist for internationally renowned actresses and actors and specialized fashion photographer (he worked for Moschino, Gianfranco Ferrè, Capucci and Dolce & Gabbana).
The duality of good and evil that dwells in each of us is the protagonist. Starting from frontal portraits in black and white, Babic breaks these last into their halves, creating two alternative versions of the same subject and trying to distinguish the good and the evil that are within us. The portraits show the two opposing souls.
